Our Story

Huisman GmbH is a medium-sized company based in Apen, Ammerland.

Founded in 1978 by Johann Huisman as a sole proprietorship, the company initially focused on general locksmith and metalworking services.

In 2001, Huisman GmbH added the exclusive distribution of AFT Trenchers Ltd. from England to its portfolio. Since then, we have been able to offer our customers robust and economical trench milling machines for tractors as well as excavator attachments.

In 2005, the company was restructured and renamed Huisman GmbH.

In the following years, the production of wear parts for scarifiers, aerifiers, and custom manufacturing of trenching tools developed as part of our core business.

Additionally, we expanded our product range to include golf course equipment and turf rakes for golf and sports fields in various sizes—products highly valued by customers worldwide.

In 2024, Christoph Beelmann joined the company as Managing Partner, marking a new chapter in Huisman GmbH’s development.
