AFT Trenchers

Our sports and golf course rakes are suitable for natural and artificial turf maintenance, mechanical weed control, incorporation of sand or topdressing, removal of thatch, moss, and grass clippings, leveling of worm casts, and upright positioning of horizontally lying grass. For artificial turf care, they loosen the infill granules and straighten the artificial grass blades.

For mechanical weed control on turf areas:

If the rake is used more than five times per season on the turf, approximately 80% of weeds (such as plantain, dandelion, clover, daisies, etc.) stop growing.

Explanation:

Due to the close spacing of the rake tines at 7 mm and the self-rotation of the tines starting at walking speed of approximately 7 km/h, the weed’s growing tips (heart leaves) are struck. With the indicated frequency, the weeds then cease growth. This is an important factor, especially in light of the new “Plant Protection” legislation effective since February 2012.
