Penetrometer
In golf, a penetrometer is used to measure the hardness and compaction of greens (especially putting greens). This measurement is crucial for evaluating the playing quality and maintenance of the turf. The penetrometer determines how compacted the soil below the turf is—an important indicator of water absorption, root growth, and the overall health of the turf.
Overly compacted soil, for example, can lead to poor drainage, shallow root growth, and increased susceptibility to disease. HIO hole drills / wear parts
